Just wondering; is there a particular reason as to why you have such a deep, elaborate opinion on various subjects?
July 17, 2008 at 5:02 PM
Hello.
Odd.
I have only spoken on one subject, to my reckoning. Perhaps you perceive me as speaking on many.
Regardless, I have not.
One subject is of interest to me.
Naught but one.
July 17, 2008 at 8:44 PM
I see. So…what might this subject be, if I may ask?
July 17, 2008 at 10:00 PM
Hello.
To attempt to communicate the intensity and focus of my lifelong passions would do no justice to my years of meditation, the careful, ofttimes arduous, research I’ve performed, and the experiences I’ve allocated to the growth and manipulations of my vocabulary to support my perceptions on ponderous concepts.
To simply impart some worthless piece of verbiage would rob you of the most priceless of epiphanies.
No. I will not say.
It would be imprudent.
July 18, 2008 at 4:32 PM
Understood, thanks for the answers.
July 20, 2008 at 7:30 PM
Hello, sir.
Can you impart to me, in all your wisdom, the name or species of the thing that resides in the lefthand corner of my basement? It’s dark and dank down there, and I would rather not be eaten if I can possibly help it. Also, can you please tell me how to get rid of it? My cat disappeared into the basement last Friday and I haven’t seen her since.
Thank you.
July 21, 2008 at 7:35 AM
Hello.
Sadly, I have little wisdom to offer in this sort of circumstance. Interestingly, people place great value in the categorization of things to assert a sense of mastery.
The Dark escapes such categorical mindsets.
I would love to tell you to cast salt over your shoulder, to say a certain series of words and sacrifice some symbolic beast of burden, but sadly I cannot and will not.
Such ways and the intense beliefs which charged them are long lost, forgotten, and best not sought.
Why would you seek to be rid of such a wondrous thing? If your words are true, what lies in your basement is a mystery to be explored and learned of.
Steel your mind.
Walk into the Dark.
See what it will show you.
Even if it is your End, perhaps you will be comforted by the many questions its presence will inspire in you.
As for your feline companion, there is a price for their unsubtle qualities of sight and sense.

Hello, Mr Welldone.
If you do indeed know what I am talking about, a comment on creepypasta.com, I did not mean what so many seemed to perceive my statement as being. I apologize if you received any offense to my comment; I truly did not intend it to be such. I realize now I phrased my intention badly.
Now, on to the true meaning of this comment. I find your character to be… intriguing, to say the least. Do not be surprised if I end up asking much more than I am already.
And now my question, sir. What has caused you to warn us on what lurks in the Dark, or, on some occasions, urge us to explore it? You seem to warn of a great many things– is it your intention to provide a layer of safety, or wisdom, or both… or neither?
Or, indeed– has something happened in your past that urges you to make sure that the same does not happen to us?
Is there something out there you fear, Mister Welldone?
After all, Fear is such a natural thing.
July 21, 2008 at 12:14 PM
Hello.
No apologies need be made. Disagreement and dislike are of the more interesting qualities humanity has to offer.
And now my answer, sir or madam. My intentions are free for you to interpret as you will. What humanity chooses to perceive is at most times much more interesting and magnificent to behold than the originator’s intention.
As far as inhibiting the actions of others, I would not dream of such a thing.
All are free to do as they will.
At least, the majority of the time.
Lastly.
I do not fear.
What roots you to the ground, makes your heart race, race, race to the point of bursting, makes you release control of your bodily functions, causes you to relinquish your higher mind and run and leap and scream without direction…
It fills me with Joy.
What now is natural?
July 21, 2008 at 12:35 PM
Oh, but that’s the thing. It wasn’t that I disliked you, as yourself, but the people who… seemed to adopt your manner of writing, shall I say, the mystery that many find in your words. It made it rather tiresome.
I will try to keep a clear mind on your intentions. Such things have a way of spiraling out of control. The imagination is such a wondrous thing.
Hmm, that was a curious answer. Definitely not what one would expect. You have a way of doing that, Mr. Welldone. But you are truly saying that you have never felt fear in your life?
Also, I have a more general question. It is obvious that you know much of what we call “creepypasta”. It is obvious that you know of the Holders series. The question: how many of these adventures have you taken, how many of these instructions have you followed… even if the true adventure is not close to what was written?
July 21, 2008 at 1:26 PM
Ah. It’s the nature of humanity, in its wonder of a thing, to attempt to duplicate that wonder in order to claim it as its own.
I have felt fear, otherwise I would not be able to talk about or respect it.
That was quite some time ago.
For your last question; suffice it to say that select individuals have claimed I “know everything.”
Why would I dispute such a claim?
To say more would, as stated before, rob you of priceless epiphanies.
July 25, 2008 at 10:33 AM
I don’t understand. How do you know these things? How do you know there are real “Holders”? Have you encountered one? Many? Do you just say these things to frighten, but with the knowledge lingering in the back of your mind that, yes, what people do not comprehend will draw them? I can’t decide whether I believe you or not. Are you just some bored blogger with an elevated vocabulary? I apologize for my numerous and unashamed enquiries, though I somehow doubt you mind terribly.
July 25, 2008 at 9:24 PM
Hello.
Define “know.” Can a human “know” anything? If “knowing” is equated to the complete, all-encompassing understanding of a thing, I daresay no entity I know of is capable of such a thing.
Rather, I prefer to say I am “aware.” I am aware because I have observed much in the long years I have walked this earth.
My intent is not to frighten for the sake of frightening. Fear is important, as is respect, but those are not my sole aims.
I choose not to control your beliefs, and allow them to be your own. It’s much more fascinating that way. You may choose to believe or not believe me, of your own volition.
Am I bored? Much of the time, yes. So very bored. I must admit, the prospect of watching a few curious souls become aware of the Darker things that surround them is rather entertaining.
Though, my vocabulary is not elevated. You would know elevated vocabulary if you heard it. Some have attempted to define such words. Surely, you’ve heard of Dee’s language of the “angels?” Many call it tosh… and some say the Enochian words contain hidden power.
Still, I think such power is beyond the grasp of the human mind to shape and wield, though some came so very close.
Lastly, don’t ever apologize for questions. Quite the contrary, I hope you never cease asking questions. That would allude to the notion that you know the answers.
I have yet to find such a thing. An answer, I mean.
There are only ever more questions.
July 26, 2008 at 10:03 AM
Well, I must say I can agree wholeheartedly with that. I’ve an unsatiable curiousity for what I do not know. Perhaps that’s what drew me here.
August 2, 2008 at 2:30 AM
Hello, Mr. Welldone.
You are quite the character. A great writer, with an interesting mind, that never fails to make me laugh, mysterious in a way not anyone can really define, and you seem to have answers to everything that answer nothing. Yes, very amusing, if you will- not to be degrading.
My inquiry is a little more personal than the rest, and I understand if it goes unanswered. What were you like as a child, and what frightened you?
I do not know your age, but I am guessing you are old enough to reminisce on your childhood, as you portray a mature character through your writing and responses.
I look forward to reading your reply.
Sincerely,
Zoë
August 4, 2008 at 11:00 AM
Hello.
Your question is intriguing and has cast my mind in directions long left to the ravages of time.
Upon revisiting what memories I have acquired through the long years, I unfortunately have little recollection of even possessing such a thing as a childhood. It is possible that I may have been a youth, yet I simply cannot recall.
You see, I have lived, I can safely say, for hundreds of years. As a result, my memory, though seemingly quite infallible, has its lapses.
Please do forgive me.
August 4, 2008 at 8:27 PM
Hello, Good Sir.
As you may already be aware of, I am a regular poster on the website http://www.creepypasta.com. Thusly, I have come to notice your somewhat notorious status as an enigmatic character who left cryptic comments for the rest of us to decipher
You seem to be very aware of what goes on around you, and are especially sensitive to what beings lurk in the dark and out of our conscious minds.
As is such, I come here asking you a favour.
You see, I am afflicted with a certain kind of ailment – the origin of which I have been unable to trace- and I was curious to know if you could shed some light on its cause. That is, when I visit certain places, I tend to suddenly black out – seemingly for no reason at all.
The first time it happened, I was at a beach, walking towards the shoreline. Suddenly and without warning, my vision darkened and my breathing became laboured, and I collapsed mid-stride. This lasted for a few minutes, with my lying unmoving on the ground, staring wide into the sky yet seeing nothing. It was not until someone rushed over to help me up when my vision returned.
This was not the only occurrence, however. The second time it happened, I was staying the night at an old hotel. I had just finished my nightly hygienic routine when the feeling of overwhelming darkness returned, and I collapsed yet again. It was only dispelled when someone began pounding on the door.
The third and most recent time it happened, I was visiting the Whaley House (a site supposedly haunted by malevolent and revengeful beings) when, yet again, my vision darkened – luckily, I was able to brace myself against the wall and prevent the brunt of the fall. The copious amount of people in the room with me, additionally, immediately took notice of my falter, and upon their inquiry of my health my episode was immediately dispelled.
My question to you, Mr. Welldone, is this: Does this particular phenomenon have anything to do with the presence of ghosts, demons, or any other sort of entity or being? Is this evident of some kind of “spiritual” connection to be had? Does this mean that I am susceptible to the wrath of those left behind? Or am I simply speculating as to the various fantastic origins for this dis-ease?
Thank you for your time.
August 4, 2008 at 9:36 PM
Hello.
The fantastic and the mundane are quite easily mistaken for one another.
The study of the unknown world is not be approached by one simply armed with sensations. Our bodies are finely wrought tools, our senses like the fine edge of an exploring surgeon’s blade.
All study is a science, in one form or another.
Through my own experimentation have I garnered the ability to create the precious from the base. I did not attain this understanding through blind trust in a singular ephemeral twinge, but by bringing all my faculties to bear in examining such curious, fleeting events.
Now. Let us look at the most likely of possibilities.
Perhaps a blockage of a certain artery, or some other phenomena akin to a growing blood vessel in your brain, which may burst at a later date. It is also possible that you have uncommon heart palpitations which deprive your brain of necessary gases in moments of excitement or physical exertion. Or perhaps you have an uncommon form of narcolepsy.
I recommend you have a physician attend to you to first remove the possibility of illness. Upon removing such a possibility, there are also certain neurological ailments of a more psychosomatic nature that may be at fault for your losses of consciousness.
Even after ascertaining the mundane reasons for your condition, keep them in mind as you explore the fantastic reasons. Humanity is, after all, composed of the tangible and intangible. A human’s adult mind is predisposed to thinking in tangible terms, and thus I recommend those be explored first. Then explore the intangible with youthful wonder.
Record when and where these episodes occur and attempt to learn the smallest details of history regarding the locations. Record also your state of being, the time, perhaps the alignment of the planets and the stars, and whatever other elements happen to occur to you. The gathering of information is where the creative thinker thrives.
Use your body’s natural tools to give your queries a definitive edge. An active and adept mind is the most important implement a curious individual has.
Then, when your findings are compiled, search for the hidden thread.
You may be surprised at your findings.
Or, you may have an unfortunate mental condition.
Or both to varying degrees.
Or neither.
August 5, 2008 at 11:46 PM
Hello, Mr. Welldone.
Unlike past posters, I don’t think you’ve seen me before. I happen to be a lurker at creepypasta.com, and I must say your character has intrigued me a lot. Among the many things I wonder is: Who or What are you?.
Frankly, I find you fascinating. You seem to posses great wisdom, great understanding… Things I’ve always wanted to have.
Could you, please, if you don’t find my request too annoying, give me a clue as to what to do to achieve a similar level of understanding as yours? I’d understand, however, if you don’t wish to tell.
I’m not an english native speaker, so apologies if sometimes my words were not very clear.
Thanks for reading
August 6, 2008 at 1:44 AM
Greetings, Mr. Welldone. I’ve read a fair share of your writings, and I find them intriguing to say the least. However, a few questions come to mind.
Are you human? You seem to have had human experiences, such as fear and the acknowledgment of time, yet you refer to humanity as if it is different from yourself. Or were you human once, and became something more? Or something different altogether?
Are you here to aid us by means of writing, or are you here to harm? Or, are you simply benevolent or malevolent? Or both/neither?
Also, what is your favorite form of dinner? That is, if you have any use for consumption. Oh, and what’s the smiley face for at the far bottom of the page? Forgive me if my choice of words/interpretations of your writings are off.
August 6, 2008 at 8:12 AM
Hello, Maz.
My efforts, in all of these writings, is festering with clues on how to begin a path towards “understanding” the inner and outer workings of the cosmos.
This world’s culture is obsessed with answers. Humans go to their parents, their teachers, their counselors, their doctors, their priests, their whores, their drink, their food, their pets, their knives, their guns, and their ignoble deaths looking for answers.
Every answer more disappointing than the last.
I will not supply answers.
Answers are the comfort of those who would seek for the ignorant safety of the day, when all things are supposedly visible.
No.
I will not supply you with answers.
I will not add myself to that foolish list of worthlessness.
Answers. Answers. Answers. Answers. Answers. Answers. Answers. Answers. Answers. Answers. Answers. Answers. Answers.
Tosh.
Rather, I wish to supply you with questions.
To this end, I will tell the most bald-faced of lies, but amidst these falsehoods are there honest observations of the functions of the universe.
I found the secrets of eternal youth. I have manipulated governments to shape the world into what it is today, and when I became bored of that, I created organizations to do so to my whims in my stead. I started and fought wars your grandfathers do not remember.
Do you believe me?
Honestly, I don’t care.
I am not a politician looking for votes.
I am not a God looking for worshippers.
I am Mr. Welldone. I am bored, and this is my fine entertainment.
If a hint of “understanding” is what you wish for, allow me to set you upon your path.
Do not trust anyone who claims the ability to communicate answers. Even if such a person shows you miracles beyond explanation, do not believe a word they say if they claim to be able to give you answers.
Such individuals are the worst kind of liar and fool.
Look, instead, for only more questions, and realize that every solution is tentative and ever shifting. Be constantly ready to edit previous beliefs and ideas.
Suddenly everything will become possible.
Most minds will be irretrievably lost under this daunting prospect. They will crack and chip and shatter like little crystalline sculptures carelessly dashed to the floor.
I find that terribly amusing.
A fortunate few may find their mind intact after the initial barrage. These few show the most promise for attaining the “understanding” you speak of.
Though, do not delude yourself. As I’ve stated before, “understanding” is beyond human capabilities. I would rather term it as “observation.”
Yes.
Understanding would imply that you know the answers.
I shall state it simply.
Seek for nothing, and you will see everything.
Seek for any single thing, and you will see nothing.
Answers are lies.
August 6, 2008 at 11:08 AM
Hello, An Interested Reader.
Am I human? I think that depends on your definition of “human.”
I define “humanity” as those “unhappily but supposedly comfortably ignorant of possibility.”
Under my own definition, I am not human. I never was.
Nor would I wish to be.
If you mean “human” by the purely biological definition…
Well.
To respond to that would ruin all the fun.
As far as my presence being harmful, beneficial, an annoyance, a blessing, etc., I would say that is a judgment that varies depending on the individual you ask.
Do you think I am a force of “good” or a force of “evil?”
Whatever you label me as, I suppose I exist as whatever that label means in your subjective reality.
I prefer my meals to consist of something of a more sustaining nature. I have developed a recipe for just such a food.
This recipe provides me with a food that grants more time to attend to more exciting pursuits without the constantly nagging sensation and bothersome noise an empty stomach creates.
The “smiley face” is an implement used to track the flow of people intested in my writings.
Oh, how humanity loves its numbers.
Yet another form of “answers.”
Finally, how can your interpretations be off? Are they not your interpretations? Do you not like your interpretations?
If not, I suggest you learn to interpret my writings differently.
August 6, 2008 at 3:09 PM
Hello Mr. Welldone.
You’ve brought up many interesting points.
It’s nice to find someone accepting of what most people try not to see (for lack of a better term)
My question is, have you ever had any serious encounters with ’something else’? I ask because there seems to be something thats been following me around for quite some time, but doesn’t seem (for all thats worth) to have any horrible intentions. I could very well be wrong though.
I can get you a better description if you want/need it
If you would have any ideas on that, it would be most appreciated.
August 7, 2008 at 7:29 AM
Hello.
Do I experience “serious encounters?”
I suppose so.
I would wager that by humanity’s reckoning my existence is composed of a long chain of “serious encounters.”
Please, do feel free to share the nature of your “serious encounter” for the benefit of the scant few readers of my writings.
Tell us of your curious follower.
August 7, 2008 at 2:12 PM
Well. This whole ordeal started at least 4 years ago, although I’m not entirely sure exactly when. It’s basically a black ”cloud” (for lack of a better description) The sometimes has a rough shape to it, or ‘tendrils’ hanging down, but usually does not. People tend not to notice it, but I’ve run into a few who have.
So, basically It just seems to be following me.
But what I find very interesting, is the first time I saw it, it didn’t startle me at all. I would have thought something like that would have.
Also, I’ve been having a repetitive dream for the past 6 months or so (if dreams even mean anything, or have anything to do with this) where I’m in a grey ‘abyss’ see a shadow in the rough shape of a person, it says ‘’soon” and I wake up.
I’ve just been trying to find some sort of answer as to what this might be.
August 7, 2008 at 3:45 PM
Hello.
You waste my time.
Do not do so again.
Do not.

Hello.
Yes, on all counts.
August 9, 2008 at 12:02 PM
Sir,
What are your thoughts on the Mayan theory/prophecy that the world will come to an end in 2012?
August 9, 2008 at 1:41 PM
Hello there.
A question or two, if I may.
First, about the nature of your name. Why exactly is it that you choose to refer to yourself as ‘Mr. Welldone’? Is it to express self-satisfation in that you are able to fully acknowledge what many choose to ignore? Or something completely different?
Lastly, did you ever have an actual “name”? If so, you needn’t tell us what it was. You probably wouldn’t anyway.
Looking forward to your answer,
DAIS

Where can one find more information about them? Is anything else actually known about them?
What do You know about them?

August 10, 2008 at 11:19 AM
Hello, Kite.
I find this to be the latest in a rash of claims that the end is nigh.
This has been going on since humanity developed the vague concept of communication.
Put as much stock in it as you wish.
August 10, 2008 at 11:36 AM
Hello, Dais.
Mine is a legitimate surname, not a claim of any sort.
As far as the concept of “actual names,” names are subjectively defined things. I shall assume that you are a “human.” You are likely then a “male,” “female,” “hermaphrodite,” or whatever other labels have been created. You could be “intelligent,” “foolish,” “benign,” “malevolent,” “beneficent,” “evil,” “good,” “bad,” “religious,” “saved,” “damned,” or what have you.
The list really never ends.
I have and have had more “actual” names than I care to count depending on my state of being, what geographical location I am currently residing in, how long I have resided there, and how I choose to position my body when I walk, talk, run, jump, sit, and lay down.
If you mean given names, I have assumed many in my existence.
This one suits my purposes for now, and I choose to think of it as my “actual” name.
Thus, the distilled answer to all of your questions is as follows:
I am Mr. Welldone.
August 10, 2008 at 11:39 AM
Hello, AliasV.
My apologies, but I leave the rest to you to piece together.
To say any more would ruin the fun.
August 10, 2008 at 7:20 PM
Hmm, I will abandon my curiosities for them for now, to continue would only waste the fantastic opportunity you lay before us, which others seem to be content to squander by asking questions about your identitiy.
You answer so many questions, what is it that You wish to know?

August 10, 2008 at 10:20 PM
Hello.
That’s simple enough.
I want to know how it all Ends.
August 11, 2008 at 1:34 AM
I need something.
Maybe you have it.
Maybe you know where i can find it.
I am willing to trade.
August 12, 2008 at 6:34 AM
Hello.
And what could you possibly have that would even be worthy to serve as a moment’s entertainment?
August 13, 2008 at 12:41 AM
i dont suppose one such as you would be interested in something as mundane as a soul, but it is up for grabs.
its not mine but i can assure you its only been slightly used.
i picked up a bit of luck a while back, but it’s really no good for women or gambling so its a bit crap.
really, i have no clue if i have anything that would. . . entertain you at this moment so i am also willing to barter my services.
hope to hear from you soon.
