Hello, Aspire.

What odd perceptions you have of this writing, have your thoughts been so slowed by the dominance of your environs?

Religious.

What foolishness.

These writings are not praises to the Christian God, but the God within Man.

It is Man who is God in the becoming.

This is not the crux of this matter.

Tell me of the vision. What do you see?

Ah, our esteemed host has returned... A regular Christmas Ghost, as it were.

I must confess, it's almost a pleasure to see you return.

So, are you a religious sort? Asking about the Shepherd at this time of year certainly carries a type of connotation, you know (and I'm sure you do).. even if you are speaking in terms of Hermeticism.

Curious that you would bring up a shepherd when you yourself have claimed to be exactly such a figure at times in the past... I doubt that your ideas would be similar.

At any rate, what does the Corpus Hermeticum matter to you?

The Pimander, you ask? Oh, but yet another relic of ancient culture; a false segment of a false deity of a purely experimental concept. The Pimander, I say, was but another figure seeming to be a supernatural presence; a being of God.

A quote from Mr. John Evard's translation of the original text, "I am Poemander, the mind of the Great Lord, the most Mighty and absolute Emperor: I know what thou wouldest have, and I am always present with thee."

Now, if I dare ask.. Why do you ask of the Pimander, Mr. Welldone? How does his being concern a person of your status?

I laughed when I read your username, by the way. Well done.

We'd all need it- and I have a feeling this man can wait for a long, long time.
In my head, he represents things that we've tried to wave away with bland realities and blazing streetlamps at night, here in the 21rst century.

I have something important to say.
In this empty space in which Welldone used to occupy, there is a opportunity for anyone to fill it. I am surprised, actually, that no one has yet, considering the eager fellows that made theirselves known in Welldone's blog entry concerning a successor.
Boar, this is how he has beaten your conundrum that you pointed out. He will not actively choose one himself- whoever steps up, whoever can capture the attention and respect of the masses is worthy.
Also, simply telling said successor the secrets of the dark simply because- well- he/she was the successor would've been determinedly out of character for him, as I think that's why many actually wanted the position. He was always going on about how the answers are unimportant when compared to the questions. People must pursue the dark 'in a scholarly manner.' And, after all, Welldone could hardly be expected to educate someone who couldn't unravel the secrets on their own.
The the meanwhile, the spot still stands for anyone. Anyone at all.
